Pleasant Ridge (15 APR 1915)

Otis Slocomb and wife spent Sunday with John Vine and wife.

Ed. Mead sawed wood for Geo. Swann Monday and for Rich. Selves Tuesday.

Charles Wesenberg worked at Wren’s mill last week. They expect to finish sawing this week.

Cyril Shew spent Saturday and Sunday with Newman Root.

Wendell Bradbury and Floyd Mertis spend Saturday and Sunday with Eugene Short.

Leah and Ella Cook, Helen Short and Vera Slocomb attended a birthday party on Lillian Handke Sunday.

Lydia Slocomb spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. George West.

Most of the Royal Neighbor ladies attended the funeral of Mrs. Hauge Monday, Mesdames George Vine, Carter, King, Geroge and Bert Swann, Arlo and Lon Huckstead.

Quite a number from here attended the bank opening in Neillsville Monday.

Mrs. Ernest Swann spent from Saturday until Monday at Bert Swann’s.

Wm. West, Sr., moved a family onto his farm Monday.

Arch Howard has rented the John Ziglinsky place and will move onto it this week.

Mesdames Ed. Selves, Ed. Huckstead and Blackman spent Tuesday with Mrs. John Vine.

In the community contest the Blues got 105 and the Reds got 100.

Several of the men folks attended the auction near Granton last Thursday.

Mrs. S. Root called on Mrs. Hubing one day last week.

Some of the farmers are busy seeding, but most of the land is too wet.

Mr. Carter sheared sheep for O.E. Counsell last week.
