Froeba, Clarence (18 FEB 1906 – 03 APR 1963)
Clarence Froeba, 57, Loyal, died at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in St.
Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been a patient for six weeks.
Funeral services were held Saturday forenoon at 10 o’clock in St. Anthony’s
Catholic Church with Rev. Norbert E King officiating. The Requiem High Mass was
sung by the church choir. Employees of the Clark County Highway Department
attended the services in a body. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A general rosary service
was said there Friday evening.
Pallbearers were Eugene Wehe, Ray Hubing, Joe Hubing, Frank Degenhardt, Leo
Degenhardt and Hugo Stutte.
Mr. Froeba was born February 18, 1906 in Loyal and has lived in this area all of
his life. He received his education in St. Anthony’s Catholic School. On January
2, 1928 he married at Loyal to Loretta Bauer.
Since their marriage they have farmed in the town of Loyal. Mr. Froeba was
employed by the Clark County Highway Department for a number of years. He was a
member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; eight children, Thomas Froeba, Mrs. Alfred(Viola)
Uhlig, Mrs. Ronald (Catherine) Grambort, Abbotsford; Herbert Froeba, Loyal; Mrs.
Lynn (Marceil) Russell, Tomahawk; Ronald, Nancy and Sandra at home; eleven
grandchildren; and two brothers, Albert Froeba, Marshfield and Edwin Froeba,
Racine.
He was preceded in death by two children, Raymond who died in 1955 and Evelyn
who died in 1943.

Minnie Gehrke, Alma; Mrs. Rosaline Renz, Mrs. Mary and Mrs. Bruce Ebbert,
Jefferson; Ann Koner, Mrs. Roman Renz, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Froeba, Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Beaver, Mr. and
Mrs. Don Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weber, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Russell
Tomahawk; Mr. and Mrs. George Frei, Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bauer, Spencer; Mrs. Rollie
