Greene, Shirley (08 July 1961)
At home at 515 Briggs St., Stevens Point are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mansavage who
were married Saturday, July 8 at a church marriage at Stevens Point.
The bride who is the former Shirley Greene of Stevens Point, was presented by
her father for the 11 o’clock ceremony. Rev. Ray Mich officiated before an altar
decorated with blue, pink, and yellow gladioli and Ken Slicker was at the organ.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Orville Greene and Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Mansavage of Stevens Point.
The bride chose a floor length gown fashioned of Chantilly lace and tulle over
satin, the filled bodice having a scalloped portrait neckline with white
sequins. The bouffant skirt had a scalloped lace peplum over a ruffled tulle
skirt extending into a brush train and she carried red roses and Stephanotis.
Her fingertip veil of imported English illusion had a hand-rolled edge & was
attached to a scalloped lace and seed pearl crown.
Maid of honor was LaLeah Laszewski of Stevens Point and bridesmaids were Irene
Radke & Jane Konopacki. They wore gowns of aqua, yellow and pink, in a ballerina
length of embossed nylon over taffeta. Completing their attire were tiara crowns
of chrystallette rosettes trimmed with nose veils. Each aide carried a floral
arrangement to match their ensembles.
Mary Koshnik was the “surprise” girl. Best man was Robert Greene, the bride’s
brother and groomsmen were Fred Zachrezewski and Jim Balke, both of Stevens
Point. Leroy and Richard Mansavage were ushers.
A breakfast reception and supper were held at the Oradell Ballroom at Stevens
Point.
Mrs. Mansavage, who is a 1959 graduate of Loyal High School, has been employed
at Hardware Mutual Insurance, Stevens Point. Her husband is a graduate of P.J.
Jacobs’ High School in Stevens Point and is an employee of the Whiting-Plover
