The Fourth Annual Fair and Carnival will be given at the opera house Saturday evening, Oct. 20th. Our fair and carnival will be bigger, better and greater than ever before. Amusements for all, such as shows, boxing contests, free attractions, races and all kinds of different contests. Prizes will be awarded the winners of the contests. The entertainment committee has secured Prof. Spookendykes troop of wild animals at a great expenditure of money. The professor has spent months training these animals for this special occasion. These animals will give several free attractions during the evening. In fact it will have most of the wonders of the 20th century.

Refreshments will be served at the different booths. This occasion will be one of the best of the season, so come out, have a good time and help your school. The doors will opent at 8 p.m. Don't forget the date.

The Senior American History class is taking one day a week for current events.

A piano duet was played by Lydia Neinas and Rose Kemmeter at the opening exercise period Friday morning.

The Sophomore English class is taking composition two days of each week.

The girls have organized a first and second basketball team. They are delayed from practice because their suits are not ready, but it is expected they will begin in the near future.

The high school basketball team began practicing in the hall Monday evening. They expect to practice twice a week in the hall until the new gymnasium is finished. The boys expect to play some of the nearby high schools before beginning their regular schedule.

The Junior agricultural class visited Mr. Davis' herd of Guernsey cattle for the purpose of obtaining the dairy points of a cow.
