The following pupils are on the honor roll, receiving over 90 in every subject
in school: Florence Garbisch, Alma Prange, Herbert Prange and Erwin Garbisch.
A basket social will be given at the school house Friday, Oct. 26, 1917. Come
and fish at the fish pond. Girls will sell coffee. Ladies please bring cups.
Short program will be given. Proceeds will be used in obtaining busy work for
the beginners and other necessities.
Wm. Schoengarth and daughter Augusta, and Mr. and Mrs. Hy Garbisch and daughter
Florence were Neillsville callers last Saturday.
Ernest Schroeder, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruss and daughter Edna were Granton
callers last week Friday.
Oswald Pischer, Henry Garbisch, Will and Fred Foemmel got their cattle home from
the town of York last week Friday. The pasture at York sure must have agreed
with the cattle, for they all looked fine.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schroeder, Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Pischer, and daughter Viola,
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gluch were Granton callers last Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Howard and family from Neillsville called on relatives in
our neighborhood Sunday.
Oswald Pischer bought two cows from Hy Pischer one day last week.
Mrs. Herman Gluch and daughter Irene, and also her aunt called at the home of
Henry Winters Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Wm. Schoegarth and Mrs. Aug. Schoengarth of Neillsville called on Mrs. John
Gluch, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gluch entertained guests Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gluch and family spent Sunday at Globe.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Anthony are back from the west, and are since Tuesday at Ernest
Schroeder's. Mrs. Anthony will be remembered as Clara Pischer.
F.D. Riedel made a business trip to Neillsville on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schroeder and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Anthony made a trip to Granton
on Monday.
Henry Garbisch is busy hauling wood home from Alfred Schnabel's woods. Preparing
for cold weather.
Edmund Garbisch called on Mr. and Mrs. John Gluch Monday afternoon.
Ben Dudei, Dan Gluch and Carl Loeffler delivered calves in Granton on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Gluch and Mrs. Schroeder from Neillsville came out to Help
Herman Gluch with potatoes.
Rev. Hasz called at Arnold Worchel's Monday afternoon and baptized the little
baby which is reported to be very ill.
Max Gold of Neillsville was seen in our neighborhood Tuesday.
Geo. Bauer was seen on our streets.
Geo. Beaver was seen on our streets Monday.
