Blencoe, Margaret Ann “Maggie” (23 February 1882 - 29 July 1973)
Mrs. Margaret Ann (Maggie) Blencoe, 91, Route 4, Black River Falls, died July 29
at the Family Heritage Nursing Home.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the United Methodist Church of
Alma Center, with Rev. Calvin Carey officiating. Burial will be in East lawn
Cemetery, Alma Center. Friends may call at the Jensen Funeral Home in Hixton
this afternoon and evening and on Thursday at the church from noon.
She was born Feb. 23, 1882 in New York to Mr. and Mrs. George Gee who settled in
the Oak Grove region in the Township of Alma (Jackson Co.) Following her
marriage to the late Alfred Blencoe the couple farmed in the same township.
Survivors include four sons, Walter and Everett, Black River Falls, Oscar,
Hixton and William who is flying home from Lima, Peru; one daughter, Mrs. E.
(Hazel) Briner, Milwaukee; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
