The birthday club was entertained Monday evening by Mrs. Catherine Lindner, with
a 6:30 dinner at the café, followed by cards at the Lindner home. Prizes were
awarded to Mrs. Don Warner, Mrs. James McConnell, Mrs. Palmer Vinger and Mrs.
Myron Kenyon.
The 92nd birthday of Warren Barnett was celebrated Saturday at the Clark County
Home for the Aged where he resides.
Mrs. John Zagozen was admitted recently to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.
The Neighborhood club was entertained Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Fred
Behrens.
Mrs. Ferdinand Langreck entertained the Hi Spades club at her home.
The Bridgettes met last Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. James McConnell.
Harry Plunkett spent the weekend in Tomah with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Cox, Mrs. Lee Corey, Mrs. Wilbur Stewart and Mrs. Rose
Ludwig visited in Eau Claire recently.
Weekend guests of Mrs. Blanche Braun were Mrs. Catherine Hendricks and Robert
and Judy Dow, and Susan Hendricks, of Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart spent the weekend in Portage and Madison and were
Sunday dinner guests at the Theron Janney home in Richland Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schuette of Unity spent Tuesday evening at the Hugh Severson
home.
Sp. 4 David Mayenschien, son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtiss Mayenschien, arrived from
Fort Riley, Kans., to visit his parents, his brother, Norman and family, and
other relatives. He is enroute to Vietnam.
Recent guests at the Ronald Hinker home in Wausau were Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester
Hinker and Mrs. Frances Hinker.
Mrs. Alma Busch and William Goeke were Sunday visitors at the Arles Offord home
in Owen.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Hinker and family attended the birthday celebration held in
honor of her father, Alex Loos, at his home in Loyal Sunday.
Sunday guests at the Gordon Christopherson home were her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Adolph Jackson.
The neighborhood group met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Miss Isadore
Shields. The next meeting will be a Christmas party at the Henry Vollrath home.
Gifts will be exchanged.
Mrs. Harry Plunkett has returned after spending two weeks with her children and
their families, Mrs. Dennis McCarty at Park Forest, Ill., Harry Plunkett, Jr.,
in Milwaukee, and Joseph Plunkett in Minneapolis.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Berthold and children, Gloria, Jean and James, and her
mother, Mrs. Bessie Williams, left Tuesday for Colorado Springs, Colo., to spend
a week with relatives. Mrs. Williams will remain for an extended visit with her
children, Walter Williams and Mrs. Dalton Bartelt, and their families.
Sunday guests of Mrs. Jake Speich were Mrs. Ella Schwarze, Mrs. James Metcalf
and Mrs. Ben Dallman.
Mrs. Alvin Kippenhan left Friday for a visit at the home of her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Zink, Jr., in Berlin.
