Anna Haas, 100, Thorp, died
Sunday, October 27, 1996 at 3:45 p.m. at Oakbrook Manor, Thorp. Anna was born
May 2, 1896 at Thorp to Claus and Bertha (Dammen) Banderob. She was married to
Joseph Haas, March of 1913 at St. Bernard's Church in Thorp. They farmed in the
Town of Thorp from 1941 until 1976 when she moved to Thorp. The past 10 years
she was a resident of Oakbrook Manor. Anna was a member of Lady Foresters of St.
Bernard's, also Christian Mothers, Rosary Society and was a member of St.
Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be held
10:30 a.m., today, Thursday, October 31, 1996 at St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's
Catholic Church, Thorp with Father John Puerner, officiating. Burial will be in
St. Bernard's Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons: Melburn Haas of Stanley, Jim Haas of Burlington, Wis.; four daughters Marion Hull and Pat Koltis, both of Thorp, Vilus Hanson of Spencer, Ethel Ciolkosz of Chippewa Falls; 41 grandchildren, 106 great grandchildren and 51 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph January 14, 1976, 3 daughters, 1 son, 7 brothers, 4 sisters and 5 grandchildren.
