MARION FOSTER HAAS

Marion F. Haas, age 70, of 1402 S. 17th St., Sheboygan, WI, died on Friday, May 18, 2001, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, Sheboygan, following a brief illness.

Marion was born January 5, 1931 in Stanley, a daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Wry) Foster. She attended Busy Bee grade school and graduated from Stanley High School.

On April 14, 1951, she was united in marriage to Arnold Haas at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thorp and moved to Sheboygan in 1952. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1999. Marion enjoyed many activities which included spoiling her grandchildren, being a seamstress, camping, cooking and baking.

Marion was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, the St. Ann Christian Women Society, Mission Society and Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary.

Marion is survived by four daughters: Doreen (Doug) Lindsay, Karen (fiancé Brian) Haas, Cynthia (Jim) Herr and Pamela Haas, all of Sheboygan; a son, Robert (Beth) Haas of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, Tracy Lindsay, Jason (fiancé Julie) Herr, Shaw (friend Karen) Paske, Sara (friend Matt) Herr, Nathan Herr and Matthew Haas, all of Sheboygan and Stacey (Jeff) Summerfield of Georgia; three great-grandchildren, Allison, Kirstin and Brianna; three sisters, Mavis (Fred) Johnson of Mosinee, Jackie (Ronnie) Henschel of Cleveland and Sharon (Larry) Anderson of Milwaukee; four brothers, Leonard Foster of Medford, Harold Foster of Pine City, Minn., Marvin (Mary) Foster of Sheboygan Falls and Lee (friend Carol) Foster of Bloomington, Minn. Other brothers and sisters-in-law, also survive along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2001, at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church with the Rev. Brian Szyszko, pastor, as celebrant. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends called at the church on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

A memorial fund has been established in Marion's name.
