Schneider, William (4 DEC 1874 - 15 SEP 1963)
William Schneider, 88, formerly of Abbotsford, died in his sleep Sept. 15, 1963
at Memorial Nursing Home, Medford, where he and Mrs. Schneider were residents
the past year.
Funeral services were held the following Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church,
Medford, with the Rev. William Holzhausen officiating, and interment was made in
Evergreen Cemetery.
William Schneider was born Dec. 4, 1874, in Russia, and came to the U.S. with
his parents in 1892, settling at Gillett and in 1902 moved to Dorchester (Clark
Co., Wis.).
On Nov. 21, 1912, he and Martha Zschiedrich were married at Dorchester, where
they lived two years and then went to Medford, where they operated the City View
Dairy until 1955, when they retired and came to Abbotsford, until they moved in
the Nursing Home.
Surviving him are hsi wife and their two daughters and three sons: Mrs. Norman
(Helen) Wallace, Maywood, Ill., Mrs. Ronald (Ann) Mack, Hinsdale, Ill., Martin
of Roseburg, Ore., Alvin of Detroit, Mich., and Robert of Seattle, Wash.
There are also nine grandchildren.
A sister, Mrs. Paulina Bremer of Abbotsford, also survives. A brother preceded
him in death.
