While Herman Portz was engaged in giving his bronco a few lessons in good behavior the end of the leash came in contact with one of his eyes, (we mean Herman and not the bronco) in such a manner that it put that optic in serious condition.

Emil Lindow says he saw a bob tailed ground hog Tuesday. The poor creature no doubt dreaded to crawl back into his den Monday and the result was that the cold wave Tuesday relieved him of that member.
