The marriage of Franziska Elpert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franz Xaver of
Pommer, Germany, and Richard M. Beaver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard J. Beaver
Sr. of Marshfield, who has been serving with the U.S. Army in Germany, took
place Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, 1963, at 9:30 in St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Rev. John B. Pinion officiated at the ceremony and Sister M. Louise Ann was the
organist.
For her wedding, the bride chose a blue lace over taffeta dress with white
accessories. She wore a corsage of pink roses and white carnations.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Godard were the best man and matron of honor. Mrs. Godard
wore a beige dress with matching accessories, and a corsage of pink roses and
white carnations.
Following the ceremony, a noon wedding dinner was served in the Colby Hotel's
Coral Room. Refreshments were served at Loyal in the evening.
The bride, who has been residing at rural Abbotsford, received her education in
Germany and the groom attended school at Loyal.
Following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the newlyweds will make their
home on Route 1, Abbotsford.
