IDA B. HAMRE/A.J. TAYLOR MARRIAGE
Granville people were the recipients of a pleasant surprise last
Saturday, Feb. 10, 1917, when they learned of the marriage of Rev.
A. J. Taylor. The happy event took place that day at Minot, N.D.,
the bride being Miss Ida Hamre of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis.
Rev. Taylor and bride returned to Granville Saturday evening for
the present will keep house in the rooms he has used for study. It
has been only moths since Rev. Taylor came to Granville as pastor
of the Congregational Church, but during that time he has made
himself popular with all. He is a tireless worker in his chosen
profession and is steadily bringing the local church to the front
as one of the leading churches in this part of the state.
The bride has been employed as teacher in the schools at Velva and
it was but a short time ago that she resigned her position there.
She was a graduate of the Minot Normal and has been very successful
in her work as teacher. Our people extend a hearty welcome to the
newlyweds and wish them joy and happiness in their journey through
life. (Granville Herald, N.D.)
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Hamre of the West
Side. She graduated from Greenwood High School with the class of
1911 and has spent most of her time teaching in the west.
