LOIS M. BEDDAL/OSCAR J. THOMPSON MARRIAGE
Clark County Superintendent of Schools Oscar J. Thompson and Miss
Lois M. Beddal were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. John Beddal at Ellsworth, Wis. June 25, 1921. Rev. G. A.
Bird of River Falls performed the ceremony. The bride was attended
by her sister Mrs. Newell Redmond and County agent H. M. Knipfel of
Neillsville acted as groomsman. The people of Clark Co. as a whole
will be greatly interested in this event. Mr. Thompson as high
school principal at Greenwood and later as county supt. Has made an
excellent record as a school man in this county and has everywhere
developed the cooperation of the people in his work and their good
will toward him. He resigned his position at Greenwood to enter the
army and on his return was appointed to fill the vacancy caused by
the resignation of Miss Kennedy and has since been re-elected
without opposition. The bride come to Neillsville a stranger, but
we all have good faith in Mr. Thompson's judgment in selecting good
teachers and believe he has displayed equally good sense in
choosing a wife. We feel sure that she will receive a warm welcome
throughout the county. They will be at home after Aug. 1st at rooms
in the Dr. Bradbury residence. (Neillsville Press)
