BLANCHE SMITH/GEORGE BRAUN MARRIAGE
A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Smith on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 1922 at two o'clock when their daughter
Blanche was unite in marriage to Mr. Geo. J. Braun, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frederick Braun of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis.
The bride wore a charming dress of white georgette and lace with a
veil and orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of roses and
sweet peas. The groom wore the conventional black. The bride was
attended by her sister Catherine Smith, who wore a dress of tan
georgette and carried a bouquet of Tea roses. Mr. Elmer Braun,
cousin of the groom acted as best man.
The parlor was prettily decorated in blue and white and the dining
room in autumn leaves and pink. Just the immediate families were
present at the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. E. M.
Bickell of Greenwood.
After the ceremony the guest partook of a sumptuous wedding dinner
prepared by the bride's mother, after which the young couple left
for a short wedding trip. On their return they will be at home to
their friends on the groom's farm in the Town of Reseburg. Their
many friends join the Gleaner in extending congratulations and best
wishes for many happy years of wedded life.
