ELSIE M. SLOCK/ALLAN MCCARTY MARRIAGE
The home of Judge and Mrs. Louis J. Butts was the scene of a quiet
wedding at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening, July 8, 1926, when Miss
Elsie M. Slock, of Oconto Falls, became the bride of Allan McCarty,
of Waupun. The marriage service was read by Judge Butts and the
bridal couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Giese.
Mrs. McCarty has resided in Waupun for the past three years at the
Giese home. Mr. McCarty is employed by the Bear Brand Hosiery
company.
Mr. and Mrs. Giese entertained thirty friends at their home, 510
South Madison Street, Friday evening in honor of the newly married
couple, when the announcement of their marriage was made. The
announcement was a complete surprise to their friends. For the
present Mr. and Mrs. McCarty are making their home with Mr. and
Mrs. Giese.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. McCarty of Longwood, Clark
County and is well known throughout this vicinity. The Gleaner
joins his many friends in extending congratulations.
