GERTRUDE DAVEY/WALTER NEEDHAM MARRIAGE
Walter Needham and Miss Gertrude Davey, both popular young people
of this city (Greenwood, Clark County), were the principals of a
quiet wedding Monday morning. The ceremony was performed by Rev.
Household at the M. E. Parsonage at 9:00 o'clock. The couple was
attended by Albert Needham and Miss Edna Hembre.
Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of
the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Davey.
Later the young couple left by auto for Fennimore and other points
for a week's trip.
The wedding came as a pleasant surprise to their many friends, for
the date of the event was carefully guarded as a secret.
The groom has been teaching at the Janesville Settlement and Gorman
Schools during the past few years. His bride is a graduate of the
local high school and has resided in this vicinity nearly all her
life.
They will make their home in this city. Their many friends extend
congratulations.
