RUTH ROBERTS/KARL AABERG MARRIAGE
At high noon Friday, June 1, 1928, at the Zion Church in Pershing,
Miss Ruth Roberts became the bride of Karl Aaberg of Greenwood,
Clark County, Wisconsin.
The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Roberts, who
are among the best known and most progressive farmers. She received
her elementary education in the Marion County schools, graduating
from the Attica high school. She then attended Iowa Wesleyan
College at Mt. Pleasant for two years and completed her college
course at Iowa State College at Ames, majoring in home economics
and receiving the B. S. degree. Since her graduation she has been
teaching in high school. The past year she has been professor of
home economics and director of the girl's athletics and is under
contract for the same position next year.
The groom is the son of Rev. and Mrs. M. K. Aaberg of Greenwood,
Wis., where his father is pastor of the Norwegian Lutheran Church
of America. He is a graduate of St. Olaf's College in Northfield,
