LOIS COLE/LEONARD JOHNSON MARRIAGE
Miss Lois Cole and Leonard Johnson were united in marriage Tuesday,
June 11, 1929.
The wedding took place at the home of the bride's parents, Rev.
Householder officiating. About forty relatives and friends
witnessed the ceremony, which took place at noon, after which a
fine dinner was served.
The bride is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. B. A. Cole of the Town of
Butler, Clark County, and is a graduate of the local High School.
Following her graduation she taught school for many years.
The groom is a son of Mrs. Mary Johnson and is one of our best
known young men. For many years he has operated the home farm,
northeast of Greenwood, where the young couple will reside.
In the late afternoon, after receiving many helpings of rice and
good wishes of all present, the happy couple took their departure,
expecting to be gone two or three weeks.
Both young folks have a host of friends who join the Gleaner in
extending congratulations and best wishes.
