BESSIE A. STABNOW/WILLIAM H. ROHLOFF MARRIAGE
A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern
Severson Thursday, May 22, 1930 at High Noon, when Miss Bessie A.
Stabnow became the bride of Wm. H. Rohloff.
Miss Stabnow is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. F. Stabnow of the
Town of Beaver, Clark County. She is a graduate of the Loyal High
School and Neillsville Teacher training school Dept. She was a
successful teacher of the Pleasant Ridge School, having taught
there for one and one half years.
The groom is the oldest son of Mrs. Albertine Rohloff of the Town
of Unity. He is a prosperous young farmer of good character and
wonderful personality.
The bride wore a dress of white satin and silk netting with lace,
trimmed with Lilies of the Valley. Her lengthy veil was held in
place by a headband of lace and Lilies of the Valley. She carried a
shower bouquet of orchid and white snapdragons. She was attended by
her sister Anna, who wore orchid flat crepe and carried a bouquet
of carnations. Theresa Stabnow, niece of the bride, who wore salmon
color georgette, acted as flower girl. The groom wore navy blue and
was attended by Edward Rohloff wearing navy blue.
The living room was decorated in orchid and white crepe paper,
lilies and lilacs with a large arch in one corner. As the bridal
procession came down the open stairway, Miss Regina Borchardt,
soprano soloist of St. Paul, Minn., sang O' Promise (The rest of my
