BERTHA METCALF/BEN DALLMAN MARRIAGE


Miss Bertha Metcalf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Metcalf of Greenwood, Clark County, became the bride of Ben Dallman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dallman of Colby, at a service Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, with the Rev. E. G. Pfeiffer, pastor of the Salem Reformed Church, as officiating clergyman.


Attending the bride were Miss Roxey Coates of Thorp and Miss Verna Luther of Spencer as bridesmaid and maid of honor respectively. The bride's brother, LeRoy Metcalf and the groom's nephew, Wayne Davis, attended the groom.


The bride wore an ankle length white satin gown and a veil which was held in place by a pearl and rhinestone trimmed coronet. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and lilies of the valley.


The bridesmaid and maid of honor was attired in pale green and flowered chiffon respectively and carried colonial bouquets of yellow and pink snapdragons.


The groom and his attendants wore dark suits and boutonnieres of pink roses.


Mrs. Will Dorhman and Mrs. Lydia Dallman sang, where Love Abides . Mrs. Ollie Davis, accompanied on the violin by her husband, played Lohengrin's Wedding March for the wedding procession. The double ring ceremony was used, after which Myrtle Davis sang O' Promise Me .


A four course 5:00 o'clock dinner was served to about 60 relatives and friends. The rooms were decorated in pink and white, with streamers and cut flowers.


Among the out of town guests were Mrs. Bill Dorhman and Mrs. Lydia Dallman of Mayville Mr. and Mrs. All Dallman and daughter Wanda of Green Lake Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dallman and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dallman and daughter Marian of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Davis (The rest of my copy was cut off)
