MARLIS ROTNEM/RUSSEL J. ROSSOW MARRIAGE


Miss Marlis Rotnem, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arne Rotnem, of Mabel, and Mr. Russel J. Rossow, of St. Croix Falls, Wis., were married Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. R. F. Halberg, pastor of the M. E. Church, read the service before a group of close friends and relatives.


While the guests assembled, Mrs. L. V. Peterson, accompanied at the piano by Miss Anna Havernos, sang O' Promise Me and At Dawning .


The ceremony was performed in the living room before an improvised altar decorated with lighted tapers and banked with Cybotium ferns and baskets of pink gladiolas.


The flower girl, Marian Hegland, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Hegland, of Mabel, preceded the bride. She wore a pink organdy frock and the hair was bound by pink ribbon and rose buds.


Wayne Harless, small son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Harless and nephew of the bride groom, wearing a black velvet suit, acted as ring bearer.
Mrs. Victor Rotnem, matron-of-honor, wore a gown of turquoise blue lace and carried a bouquet of pink roses, baby breath and blue ageratum.


Mr. Louis Rossow attended his brother as best man. The ushers were the bride's brothers, Messrs. Victor and Ralph Rotnem.
Miss Rotnem was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a gown of white Dutchess satin with long sleeves and floor length circular skirt. Her cap veil of lace and tulle hung in a long train and was caught in place by orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.


The wedding supper was served following the service, after which Mr. and Mrs. Rossow left on a motor trip for the Grand Canyon, Yosemite Valley and the coast. They will make their home in St. Croix Falls, where Mr. Rossow is an instructor in the public schools, and where Mrs. Rossow has been an instructor in the same school for the past few years.


Mrs. Rossow was graduated from the University of Minnesota, and is a member of Sigma Kappa and Phi Epsilon Omieron. Mr. Rossow is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and is a member of Phi Pi Phi.


The out of town guest were Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Rossow, of Greenwood, Clark County, parents of the bride groom Edwin and Louis Rossow, brothers of the bride groom Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harliss and son Wayne, Chippewa Falls, Wis., brother-in-law, sister and nephew of the bride groom Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rotnem and Mr. Ralph Rotnem, of New York City Mr. George Schlaaganhaaf, St. Croix Falls Mr. Harold Gerlach and Mr. Geo. Hawkins, Beloit, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. John Bjorhus, Miss Martha Bjorhus and Mrs. Harold Timberlake, Minneapolis Miss Mabel Manning, Northfield, Minn. Mrs. Lottie Newman, Mrs. Rose Brussow, Mrs. Elmer Newman and Miss Ramona Newman, Loyal, Wis. and Mrs. M. Elefson, Houston, Minn., an aunt of the bride.
