EDNA BAKKE/LAWRENCE KLEIN MARRIAGE
A pretty wedding took place at the Lutheran parsonage at Curtiss,
Clark County at 11:00 o'clock Thursday, when Miss Edna Bakke of
Curtiss became the bride of Lawrence Klein of Beaver.
The service was read by Rev. W. L. Anderson. The couple was
attended by Miss Margaret Bakke, a sister of the bride, and Larry
Klein, a brother of the groom.
The bride was attired in a gown of brown flat crepe and carried a
bouquet of roses. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to
twenty-five immediate relatives at the home of the bride's uncle,
Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Erickson. The home was beautifully decorated
with seasonable flowers. The bride is a daughter of Albert Bakke of
Midway and the groom formerly taught the Midway and Hoard Center
Schools. The bride also taught the Brady school the past two years.
After a short honeymoon at Chain of Lakes, Waupaca, they will be at
home at the home of the groom's parents in the Town of Beaver. The
groom has been engaged to teach in Marathon County, south of
Spencer, the coming year. (Owen Enterprise)
