CLARA SCHMIDT/LOUIS RATZBURG MARRIAGE
Miss Clara Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Schmidt of
Greenwood, Clark County, was married to Louis Ratzburg, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Oscar Ratzburg of Loyal, Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1933 at 2:00
P.M. at the Evangelical Trinity Lutheran Church at Loyal, Rev. H.
F. Leschensky officiated.
The bride was attended by her sister, Elsie, as maid of honor and
Virginia Lemke as bridesmaid and Elmer Ratzburg and Alfred Muche
attended the groom.
The bride's gown was of light blue crepe and she wore a veil. She
carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations and ferns. The maid
of honor and bridesmaid also wore blue and carried bouquets of
asters.
Supper followed the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents,
with 150 guests present. Pink, blue and white formed the color
scheme. The evening was spent in dancing, which was held at the
North Side Hall and was very largely attended.
Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Gust Polinske and family, Mrs.
Ella Schmidt and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schmidt and Alvin
Kohlman, all of Oakfield Mr. and Mrs. Alex Luttenberger of Oak
Center Henry Schmidt of Neenah Frank Schmidt, May Sloper and Bruno
Redman of Waupun Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmidt, Elmer and Caroline
Schmidt and Herman Snyder of Curtiss Alfred Muche of Mayville Math
Krueitzer of Kewaskum Mrs. Emil Lemke, Robert and Virginia Lemke of
Marshfield Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meyer and Mrs. Anna Zipfel of
Neillsville.
