Gates, Ada J. (Marriage (26-May-1870)

Married, on Tuesday evening June 26, 1870, at 10 o'clock at the residence of the bride's parents (Clark County), by Rev. Harvey Palmer, Mr. Robert J. MacBride to Miss Ada J. Gates, daughter of Mr. Daniel Gates, all of Neillsville.

We congratulate the gallant groom on his rare choice of a helpmate for life, and at in the earnest, wish of all who have the benefit of their acquaintance that a long and prosperous life will be enjoyed by them, , which will be improved by precept and example and when the old folks retire from this mundane sphere, may young MacBride perpetuate the glorious deeds of those who on Tuesday of last week were united before God, for better or for worse.
