Hubbell, Clara (Marriage 09/15/1872)
Married, at the M. E. Church in this village (Neillsville, Clark
County), on Sabbath evening, Sept. 15th, 1872, by Rev. H. W.
Bushnell, Mr. F. D. Lindsay and Miss Clara Hubbell, all of this
place.
If there is any truth in the old adage that marriage is a lottery,
it will be universally admitted that both parties in this affair
have been fortunate in spearing a handsome and valuable prize. And
we are glad of it, which expresses the sentiments of the large
number of bridal friends who gathered at the little church last
Sunday evening to witness the first performance of such ceremony
within its walls, and extend to the happy couple their warmest
congratulations for long life and unalloyed bliss. On Monday Free
and his charming young bride started for St. Paul on a bridal
tour.
