DORCHESTER, SNOW SNAKE (1924)
This Snow Snake was built around 1924 in Kriplean's Garage,
Dorchester. The men who built it were Henry Erlei, William
Kriplean, Frank Seidel, Emil Fitzlaff and John and Henry Molitor of
Medford. Remodeling a Model T Ford axles had to be cut and
re-welded to make them shorter, so the track would fit the same
tracks as a logging sled. Aproximately six of these were made and
then the venture was discontinued as the cross bolt (or rod) could
not take the stress.
