Winter of 1917 in Dorchester, Wisconsin.

Taken in front of Esser's hall, 1917, the year of a heavy snowfall when trains didn't run for 3 to 4 days. House on left is Dr. Crane's, next is the Froland home. Standing on the left is Frank Hiebsch, next to Clara Schmidt, Dick Schreiber, Mabel Fuchsgruber, Henry Pueschner, and next is unknown. This photo shows where a sidewalk was tunneled out.
