B. F. KETCHPAW'S GOLDEN
WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mrs. Archie Clayton of Lee, entertained about twenty-five guests at
a dinner party given in honor of her father and mother, Mr. and
Mrs. Ketchpaw of Wisconsin, who have been visiting her for several
months. The occasion was to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of
their wedding. The lovely dining room and table were beautifully
decorated in yellow with a large center piece of golden daisies and
ferns and the table was fairly laden with good things, to eat.
Between courses Mr. and Mrs. Ketchpaw entertained the guests with
the history of their courtship, marriage and after life,
enterprised with Mr. Ketchpaw's jokes, thus making their
entertainment very jolly and interesting. Toasts from the different
guests to the health and continued happiness of the
seventy-year-old bride and groom completed a very enjoyable dinner.
The evening was spent in lively games in all of which the elderly
couple took a lively part. Many beautiful gifts in gold or gold
trimmed were presented by relatives and friends. Those present were
Mr. and Mrs. Ketchpaw, Mrs. Archie Clayton and sister, Mrs. Manhard
of Idaho Mr. and Mrs. Zunino, Mr. and Mrs. William Bellinger, Mr.
and Mrs. Al Griswold, Mr. and Mrs. H. Bolton, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Drown, Estella and Eda Zunino, Miss Minnie Bradshaw, Charles Zunino
and Messrs. Johnson and Olerson. The above was taken from the Elko,
Nev. Free Press and is a write-up of the Golden Wedding celebration
of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Ketchpaw of Greenwood, Wisconsin. Mr. and
Mrs. Ketchpaw were united in marriage at Elkhorn, Wis., December
10, 1877 and moved to Greenwood, December 4, 1897, having resided
here for the past 80 years. Their many local friends, join the
Gleaner in extending best wishes and hope that Mr. and Mrs.
Ketchpaw will keep well, and live to celebrate many more wedding
anniversaries
