Alaskan Gold Fields

Clark county will be well represented in the Alaskan gold fields. C. M. BREED, George HUNTZICKER, Hi HART, F. M. HEWETT and Charles GATES are already there and prospecting on the Salmon River, in the Yukon District. Last week a large party left consisting of: Warren SOUTHARD, Louis BRILLION, Joseph DILLMAN, Phillip BERG, Fred STURDEVANT, Gustave KLOPF, Fred ELDER, George VINE of Neillsville M. P. HARTFORD, Jim HARTFORD, Charles REDMOND, H. CHESTERMAN, John GRASSER, Ed. YOUNG, of Loyal, F. M. SMITH, of Greenwood E. L. SNYDER, Carl GOEHRING, George GOBERT, Joseph DALLENDORFER, Herman DOEGE, of Thorp.

There were also three from Marshfield. The entire party were to rendezvous at St. Paul and start from there for Fort Townsend. It is understood that this party will go to the Copper River country, which is all Uncle Sam's domain and will save them the Canadian duties, besides, it is claimed to be as rich as the Yukon district.
