Frantz, Sophia Catherine (Marriage - 12 AUG 1886)

Married, at the residence of Geo. Frantz, in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Wis., Aug. 12th, 1886, by Rev. W. T. Hendren, Mr. George J. Becker of Ft. Atkinson, Wis., to Miss Sophia Frantz.

The hospitable farm house of Mr. Frantz on this occasion was filled with the many friends of the family, who had been invited to witness the ceremony which was to start this happy couple on their voyage over the sea of matrimony, and it proved to be one of the happiest and most pleasant gatherings of the year. The brides is well known to all Neillsville people as a pleasant and intelligent lady, while the groom is a well educated and wide awake resident of Fort Atkinson, Jefferson County. They start out in life with bright promise of success in the world and with the best wishes of all that their future will be happy and prosperous. They left for Ft. Atkinson, where they will make their home, last Monday. A bountiful supper, such as farmers' wives alone know how to set out, was furnished the guests and the evening was passed in dancing, interspersed with agreeable conversation and stories of pioneer life by the old settlers present.
