ANNIVERSARY
Ben Reil's Wed Fifty Years
Mr. and Mrs. Ben (Edith) Reil of 1552 Brooks Lane, Oshkosh,
formerly of the Abbotsford and Colby areas, will celebrate their
golden wedding anniversary with open house for family and friends
from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 11.
Ben Riel, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Reil of Abbotsford, and Edith
Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olson, Colby, were married
Sept. 12, 1933 in Zion Lutheran parsonage in Colby. Their only
attendants were Helen Behrens and Clifford Leibelt.
Reil owned and operated Riel Electric for 30 years, retiring in
1973. Mrs. Reil worked for 25 years for American Excelsior Co. and
at the Winnebago County Department of Social Services until her
retirement in 1981.
