Brenner, Christine L. (29 September 1984)
The Rev. Clyde Cross officiated at the Saturday evening, September 29, marriage
of Christine L. Brenner and Francis D. Draxler. The Covenant United Methodist
Church of Fond du Lac was the site for the nuptials.
Parents of the couple are John and Tina Brenner of Fond du Lac and Francis and
Laurina Draxler of Auburndale.
Music at the service was offered by Claire Streeter.
Kathy Colla, the bride’s sister of Minneapolis, was matron of honor. Best man
was Don Draxler, the groom’s brother of Wisconsin Rapids. Ushering were Ron and
David Draxler brothers of the groom from Auburndale. Ring bearer was Steve
Draxler, the groom’s brother of Auburndale, and flower girl was Mandy Lang, the
groom’s niece of Sherry.
The bride chose a lace gown with cathedral-length train. A floral wreath secured
a silk bouquet of white roses, lavender forget-me-nots, carnation tufts and
baby’s breath. The matron of honor wore a lavender dress and carried a silk
bouquet of roses, mums, carnations, forget-me-nots and baby’s breath. The groom
and the bestman were attired in light gray, tailed tuxedos.
Following the service, a champagne reception was held at the Gazebo Restaurant
at Fond du Lac.
The couple will make their home in Neillsville. She is a 1980 graduate of
UW-Oshkosh and is a teacher in the Neillsville Public Schools. Her husband, a
1979 graduate of UW-Stevens Point, is the purchasing director at Neillsville
Memorial Hospital and Home.

Frame, Wanda (15 September 1984)
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Eau Claire was the setting for the September 15
wedding of Wanda Frame and Dennis Stemen, both of Houston, Texas. Wanda is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Christophersen of Greenwood and Dennis is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. James Stemen of Eau Claire.
Pastor Richard Sorenson officiated. Singers were Sherri Frame, Gordon Wisniewski
and Barbara and Carla Stemen. Sandy Maas was the accompanist on the piano.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Sherri Frame of Milwaukee was
maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Deanna Mayenschein of Greenwood and Kathy Lekvin
of Chicago. Tim Hangartner of Eau Claire was bestman. Groomsmen were Paul Sells
of Eau Claire and Brent Lekvin of Chicago. Carrie McFarlane was flower girl and
Curtiss Mayenschein was ring bearer. Ushers were Shane Christophersen and Danny
Sturgeleski.
The bride carried a silk cascade of white carnations, burgundy roses baby’s
breath with green ferns. She wore a Victorian-style gown of Chantilly and
Venician lace ruffles and a cathedral-length train. Her attendants wore long
mauve gowns with Chantilly lace around the neck and sleeves. They carried
bouquets of white and burgundy carnations with pink rose buds and baby’s breath.
The reception, dinner and dance were at the American Legion.
After a honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin, the Stemens will make their home in
Seattle, Washington. The bride and groom completed a computer program at Dist. I
Tech-Eau Claire, and are working in the computer field.

Kelly Marie Gilles and Mark Alan Schmitz were united in marriage during rites at
St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili. Officiating at the Friday evening,
October 12, nuptials was the Rev. Schumacher. Parents of the couple are Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Gilles of Medford and Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Schmitz of Granton.
Offering music for the service were Arnold and Delores Wolf.
Grace Roesler of Athens was maid of honor. She was joined by Debra May, the
bride’s sister of Marshfield; and Mrs. Rodney Naedler, the groom’s sister of
Granton. Bestman was Terry Schmitz, who was joined by Robert Garbisch and Rick
Osborn; all from Granton. Ushering were Patrick Gilles and Terry Bohman.
The bride chose a Victorian-style gown in ivory lace with matching hat. She
carried a bouquet of lavender roses and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore
lavender polka-dotted gowns; they carried lavender roses.
Following the service, a reception and dance were held at The Sword in Colby.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Schmitz will make their home in Unity. She is a 1977
graduate of Medford High School and is employed by the Edgar Packing Company. He
is a 1980 graduate of Granton High School and is employed by Wolfcraft
Manufacturing of Unity.

Larson, Tracy Jane (29 September 1984)
Tracy Jane Larson and Bradley Raymond Zipfel were married on Saturday afternoon,
September 29, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Parents
of the couple are Robert and Sandy Larson, 505 W. Fourth St., Neillsville and
Raymond and Delores Zipfel, Rt. 1 Neillsville.
Janice Mayer offered music for the service.
Serving as matron of honor was Donna Hahn, the bride’s sister of Marshfield. She
was joined by Sharon Sadowski, a friend from Milwaukee; Sharon Zipfel, the
groom’s sister of Neillsville; Kathy Breitung, a friend from Neillsville; and
Dawn Siddons, the bride’s cousin of McHenry, Illinois. Flowergirl was Jennifer
Hart, the groom’s niece of Alma Center.
Bestman was Mark Mayer, the groom’s cousin from Neillsville. He was joined by
friends Dave Rakovec, Kent Pekol and Jose Neville and the bride’s brother Kevin
Larson, all from Neillsville. Ringbearer was Jeffery Hart, the groom’s nephew of
Alma Center. Ushering were Herman Hart, the groom’s brother-in-law of Alma
Center and Bob Larson, the bride’s brother of Chicago.
The bride chose a gown featuring Schiffli embroidery, Venetian and Wedgewood
lace and cathedral-length train. She carried a bouquet of pink, burgundy and
white roses and carnations. Her jacketed attendants wore printed taffeta gowns
in burgundy hues; they carried fans adorned with pink, burgundy and white roses
and carnations. The groom was in a white Dorchester-style tuxedo and his
attendants wore silver Claridge-style tuxedos.
Following the service a reception was held by a dance at the St. John’s School,
followed by a dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom. The couple announced wedding
trip plans for Wisconsin Dells.
Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Kathy Breitung, and a shower by
Delores, Sharon, Barb and Marilyn Zipfel and Debra Hart.
Rural Neillsville will be the home for the new couple. She is a 1984 graduate of
Neillsville High School and is privately employed. He is a 1981 graduate of the
same school and works on his parent’s farm.

Christ was the site of the nuptials.
Parents of the bride are Irene Hemp of 205 Court St., Neillsville, and the late
Warren Hemp. The groom’s parents are Eustachij and Antonia Hanuszczak, Rt. 1

Matron of honor was Linda Zilk, a friend from Neillsville. She was joined by Sue
Olson, a friend from Merrillan, and Pat Friemoth, a friend from Neillsville.
Bestman was Darrell Beilke, a friend from Granton. He was joined by Rich
Bartsch, a friend from Stevens Point; and Slavko Hanuszczak, the groom’s brother
of Neillsville. Ushering were Jeff Hemp, the bride’s brother of Windsor, and Bo
Hanuszczak, the groom’s brother of Granton.
The bride chose an imported English brocaded lace hand-sewed gown with satin
skirt and fitted bodice and featuring a sweetheart neckline. She carried a
bouquet of silk burgundy carnations, ivory daisies, mauve lilies and antiqued
baby’s breath. Her attendants wore burgundy satin skimmers featuring A-line
skirts, empire waists and V-necks. They wore wrist bouquets of silk carnations,
mauve lilies and antiqued baby’s breath. The groom and his attendants were
attired in an ivory colored jacket and dark brown slacks.
Following the service, a reception and dance was held at the Granton Sportsmen’s
Club. The couple announced that they would be taking a Northern Wisconsin
wedding trip.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Hanuszczak will make their home at rural Neillsville. She
is a graduate of Neillsville High School and District I Tech-Eau Claire and is
employed by Neillsville Memorial Hospital. He is a graduate of Granton High and
Mid-State Tech-Wisconsin Rapids and is employed by Clark County Surge.

Alice Marie Richards and Dean Verlyn Rollins exchanged wedding vows at St.
Joseph’s Catholic Church, at Walsh, on August 18. The Rev. Andrew Wojahowski
officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Richards of
Porterfield and Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Rollins of Granton.
Guitarist and soloist was Mark Lavey, Granton, and the Organist was Nancy
Grandow, Crivitz. The lector during the ceremony was Beth Goeppinger.
Charlene Richards, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Suzanne Thomas, Green Bay, a friend of the bride, and Barbara Rollins and Susan
Rollins, sisters of the groom. The flower girl was Susan Wilson of Sussex,
cousin of the bride.
David Rollins, brother of the groom, served as bestman. Other attendants were
Larry White of Granton, Mark “Rufus” Rietveld of Kiimberly, and Steve Rollins,
brother of the groom. The ring bearer was Joe Federl, Jr., Mequon, a cousin of
the bride. Guests were ushered by Jack Shaller and Mark Barth.
The reception and dance was held at the Crivitz Town Hall. Wedding cake was
served by Tina Wesolowski, Ana Marie Lauer, Devie Olszewski, Sharon Rose and
Heidi Federl.
The couple honeymooned in St. Louis, and now reside in Stevens Point where they
are both attending UW-Stevens Point.

September 22, at the Neillsville United Church of Christ. The Rev. Mark Voll
officiated. Parents of the couple are Harris and Ann Schoengarth, Rt. 3,

Carla Larsen, the groom’s cousin from Eau Claire, was maid of honor. She was
joined by friend Judy Knoop; the bride’s cousin Trisha Carney and friend Cheryl
Schleifer, all from Neillsville.
Bestman was Jeff Voss of Christie. He was joined by Greg Zickert and Stacy Holt,
both of Neillsville; and Alan Murphy, Greenwood. All are friends of the groom.
Ushering were Scott Schoengarth, the bride’s brother of Neillsville; and Alan
Schoengarth, the bride’s nephew of Neillsville.
The bride chose a satin, entrained gown with beaded bodice and matching hat and
fingertip-length veil. She carried a cascade of white, wine and pink flowers.
Her attendants wore off-the-shoulder, wine colored dresses of chiffonette. They
wore flower rings and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s. The groom was
attired in a white, tailed tuxedo and his attendants wore silver, tailed
tuxedos.
The Silver Dome Ballroom served as the site for the post service reception and
dance. The couple announced that they would take a trip to upper Michigan and
southern Wisconsin.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Chadwick will make their home at rural Greenwood. She
attends Neillsville High School, and he is a graduate of the same high school
and is employed on the family farm.
Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by the bridesmaids and another hosted
by friends from Christie.

The Rev. David Kilde officiated at the September 29 evening wedding ceremonies
for Barbara Schumacher of Fall Creek and Robert L. Medford, DVM, of rural
Greenwood. The service was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
Parents of the couple are Richard and Sylvia Schumacher of rural Fall Creek and
Forrest and Gertrude Medford of West Carrollton, Ohio.
Maid of honor was Kathy Pelzel, a friend of the bride from Eau Claire. Dale
Medford, the Groom’s brother of Dayton, Ohio, was bestman.
Following the service, a reception in the form of a pig-roast was held at the
bride’s parent’s home.
The new Medford couple will make their home at rural Greenwood. She is a
graduate of District I Tech-Eau Claire in the licensed practical nurse program
and will be assisting her husband in the veterinary practice. He is a 1979
graduate of Ohio State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine and recently
opened the Christie Veterinary Service.

Lana Lee Zank and Michael James Marshall were married on late Saturday
afternoon, October 13. Attorney Norman Saracoff of Neillsville officiated at the
Wildcat Inn nuptials. Parents of the bride are Dixie Kranz of Neillsville and
Roger Steinbring of Sussex. The groom’s parents are LeRoy and Viola Marshall,
116 West 21st St., Neillsville.
Tamra Pulju, a friend of the bride from Madison, was maid of honor. Kent
Marshall, a cousin of the bride from Madison, was bestman. Michael Zank, the
bride’s son, was ring bearer.
The bride chose a jacketed, ivory satin gown. She carried a silk bouquet of
ivory, pink and white roses, adorned with baby’s breath. Her attendant wore a
long, wine-hued gown and carried flowers similar to the bride’s. The groom and
his attendants wore black tuxedos.
Following the service, a dinner was held at the Wildcat Inn, followed by a dance
and reception at the Neillsville American Legion Hall.
The couple will make their home at Rt. 2 Neillsville. She is a graduate of
Neillsville High School and is employed by the Clark county Aging and Nutrition
Office. He is a graduate of the same school and is employed by Ruzic
Construction of Neillsville.
