Minnie (Mina) Engebretson and Olaf M. Bragstad, 1912
Minnie, daughter of Edward and Ingebor Engebretson and Olaf M. Bragstad, son of Ole and Oline Bragstad (nee Jeauntte or Brandt/Hembre?). They lived for a while near Greenwood where Olaf worked in a logging camp for a while and helped in his father's blacksmith shop. He briefly tried his hand at farming. When it became apparent he didn't like either one of those jobs, they moved to Milwaukee. There Olaf worked for many years at International Harvester and Minnie kept house and raised their four children: Edna, Irene, Chester, and Genevieve. Olaf also rented a small garage not far from their Milwaukee home where he tinkered as car mechanic -- usually with a cigar in his mouth. Minnie and Olaf were fondly referred to as "Mom" and "Pa" by their grandchildren.
