Henry Melvm Myrin (the soldier on the right) was born May 3,1895 in the Town of Reseburg, Clark Co., Wisconsin to Andrew and Anna (Stigen) Myrin.
He was a veteran of
WW I. In October, 1918, he was a member of Co.42 M.T.D. 4th Group M.G.T.C.
Camp Hancock, Augusta, Georgia. He received an honorable discharge in
March 1919 and had reached the rank of Cpl.
He moved to Ironwood, Michigan
and on August 25, 1942, married Florence Peterson. He passed away on July
14, 1976 and is buried in
Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, Michigan.
We never knew him as Henry. He was always "Uncle Melvin" to us.
