Last Sunday evening one of the prettiest weddings of the month was solemnized at the Baptist Church in which Rev. S.E. Sweet and Mrs. Mary Dingley were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Rev. E.D. Edmunds of Beaver Dam performed the ceremony, which took place in an elaborate bower of roses, other flowers and ribbons.
The church was filled with invited guests who witnessed the beautiful ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Sweet were the recipients of very many beautiful presents, which were tokens of the esteem in which they are held.
They will keep house in Mrs. Sweet’s former home near Black River.

OBITUARY OF MRS. MARY SWEET
Mrs. Mary A. Sweet, widow of Rev. S.E. Sweet, deceased former pastor of the Baptist Church at Greenwood, Clark County, passed away Oct. 19, 1926 at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Geo. Poole.
Mary A. Foster was born Oct. 29, 1854 at Hull Canada. She married Alfred Dingley, deceased, Oct. 16, 1870. Two Children, Norman and Fern, both deceased, were adopted by Mr. And Mrs. Dingley.

Funeral services were held from the Dr. A. J. Currie home Friday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. Berry of Eau Claire officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.

In 1871 there were reported one hundred and seventy-one members, the highest yet reached. But Pastor Johnson’s health failed and he was obliged to drop work. Rev. S. E. Sweet, then a Wayland (Academy) student, was a highly acceptable supply for eighteen months. About that time Rev. Samuel Gorman, then pastor at Columbus, assisted very acceptably in a series of meetings.
