Chet Glasshof of Thorp is the young man on top of the largest logs that came into Thorp at that time. The year the picture was taken was 1916 in front of what is now Badger Hardware in Thorp, located at 225 N. Washington St. According to information from Glasshof, the logs were taken from five miles south of Thorp. The man standing to the far right in the picture was not identified--from the Courier darkroom. |
