Henry & Alvira (Shelley) Davids
Henry Davids was born June 1840
Stockbridge, Calumet Co., WI to Daniel and Margaret Davids. He married Alvira Shelley born
about 1845 Brothertown, Calumet Co., WI ,daughter of Simeon
Shelley and Sabrina Welch. Alvira was also married to Joel
Julius Sampson Henry Davids was in the Civil
War. He served in Co A 3rd WI Inf. and collected a pension
from Unity, Brighton, Marathon Co., WI for wounds in his
side, shoulder, and hands from that war. He died in
1880 and is buried
in Union Cemetery ,
Brothertown, WI. Henry and Alvira had the
following children: Dora Davids, Frances Davids, Leonard
Davids, Emma Davids, Florence Davids, Ora Davids, Fred
Davids, William Davids, Henry Davids, Edgar Davids, and
perhaps six more Davids children who are unknown. Davids, Sampson, Shelley and
Welch are all Brothertown Indian family names.

Paul Colby Sr., Irene (Rena) Daily, and Louis Colby. Mary I. Sampson Colby died 5 Dec
1925 Marathon Co., WI. Guy Colby 14 Jan 1888 Unity,
Clark Co., WI married Laura Wensole, daughter of Lousi
Wensole and Martha Arnisen and Guy died 8 Nov 1918 Unity,
