Professor Elwin J. McKean and Hjordis Pauline Reishus were married, Thursday, June 22, 1922 at the home of the bride’s brother, Rev. Lysander T. Reishus at Velva, North Dakota.
Elwin was principal of the Neillsville High School and won for himself a high place in the esteem in the city and country around. He formerly taught in Loyal, where his record as a teacher and a young man of high character was equally as good. Prof. McKean is gradually building up a reputation as a school man. He is not spectacular in his methods, but is forceful and progressive and bides fair to stand among the leaders of his profession in the state.
Hjordis taught history in Neillsville High School prior to her marriage. She graduated from Stanley High School and Eau Claire Normal School.
The couple made their home in Tomah, Wisconsin, where Mr. McKean was been elected Supervising Principal of Schools for 1923.
