John P. Schueller was the eldest son of John J. Schueller.

 

Maude Rogers was the daughter of John William Rogers (b. 1850 Hebron, Jefferson Co, Wisconsin, d. Jan 16,1889 in Crawford Co., Wisconsin) and Sidney Madvina Coleman b Sept 18,1873 Kickapoo, Vernon Co., Wisconsin.  Sidney was the daughter of Thomas Coleman and Catherine Bogart.  Sidney was born December 25, 1856 in Crawford Co, Wisconsin and died Jan 15, 1844 in Unity, Wisconsin. Sidney died of TB.

 

The children of John William Rogers and Sideny Madvina Coleman Rogers were:

1. Myrtle Emeline Rogers b. 29 May 1874 Vernon, Wisconsin;  d 23 June 1959 Boscobel, Grant Co., Wisconsin

2. William  Thomas Rogers b. 15 Oct 1875 Manning, Vernon Co., Wisconsin, d 12 Nov, 1963  Boscobel, Grant Co., Wisconsin

3. Rose Jeanette Rogers b. 13 July 1878 Unity, Wisconsin, d 21 July 1973 Calgary, Alberta

4. Ivy Rogers, died as a child.

5. Maude Victoria (Bracht) Rogers b. Aug 1881 Unity, Wisconsin, d 22 Dec 1962 Santa Anna, California.

6. Violet  Jessie Rogers Shelley, b. 14 June 1883 Unity, Wisconsin,  married George Bertrum Shelley 11 June 1900 Perkinstown, Wisconsin, d. 15 Mar 1968 Riplinger, Wisconsin George was the son of Simon and Ruth Johnson Shelley and was b. 23 Sept 1878 Unity, Wisconsin d. 28 July 1936 Unity, Wisconsin.

 

Violet Rogers Shelley was my great grandmother. When her mother died she was only about seven months old.  She went to live and was raised by her paternal Aunt, Dorothy Elmendorf  Chapman.  Her sister, Myrtle went to live with a maternal Aunt and Uncle .

The other three children (William, Maude and Rose) were all adopted.  Maude of course by the Brachts. William was adopted by a family named Sonnenstein.

 

William took his name (Rogers) back when he became of age but living in a German settlement he spelled it Roghers and kept that spelling for the rest of his life.  He married Emilie Henrietta Wucherpfennig, daughter of Ferdinand and Fredericke Rocke Wuckerpfenning on 16 Oct 1902 in Marathon Co, Wisconsin.

 

Rose married a DeLore King.
