Family Notes
To us, our Grandmother, Edith
Lubner--Possley was a very strong, upright and Prussian kind of woman. She came
to this country when from Breslau (Now Wroclaw) when she was about 3 years
old. Her determination made her a one room school teacher in Eidsvold and
Curtiss until she married Charles Possley, a cheesemaker and eventual owner of
the Thorp Dairy, that became the
Blue Moon and then Foremost in Thorp. Edith was a charter member of the
Ladies' Group that founded the Thorp Library.
