Dear Mama and all,

I wish someone would come here and stay with me did papa come home yet.
Why did you bring (me) up here.

I cry all the time because I have nobody to stay if papa comes home or is home will you come?

Mama we each get a serving box. Will you send me some paper and envelopes. I can write again.

Oh mama please come up next week or this week

You can't stay at the hospital but you can come and see me everyday.

I don't think I will have a operation.

I might have mine like one of the girls up here.

She has a cast on her leg and it goes down some each day so I will have min like tat if doesn't take so long.

I wish I was home. I hate it up here just awful. You can't dress. You can't go outside or get up so please come up here. You talk by the window but can't come in for a few days because to boys had diphtheria in the other part of the hospital so don't worry about me.

But please come up mama and keep me company. I don't like the hospital eat her either. Will you send me something? The other girls are all getting letters and talking from their folks.

Well I'll close.

Love,

Mildred

Come as soon as you can
