Christopherson was born June 22, 1846 in Trondhjem, Norway. In the spring
of 1872 he came to this country and with the exception of a short time, he lived
on his farm 3 ½ miles northeast of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis. Twelve years
ago he sold the farm and moved to Greenwood, where he resided one year and then
moved to Riverside, Montana where Peter died July 13, 1924, after ailing for
some time. He was 78 years and 20 days old. Carrie had died twenty years
before that. Both are buried in the
Greenwood City
Cemetery. The Christophersons were the
parents of eight children. Seven of the children survive, one died in infancy.
The surviving ones are Carl, John, Ole, Andrew, Mattie, Clara and Gena, all
