Fletcher Mose Canfield was born 11 Jun 1832 in Essex, NY. He died seventy-six years later, 17 Jun 1908, in Clark Co., Wisconsin. His father, Jonathan D. Canfield, was born 11 Dec 1799, just in time to celebrate Christmas. Jonathan lived sixty-one years and died Feb 1860 in Marquette, Wisconsin. Fletcher's mother, Eunice, was born 2 Jun 1800, just six months younger than her husband who she married four months before her twenty first birthday, 25 Feb 1821. After nearly sixteen years of marriage, Eunice died 9 May, 1837, a little less than a month before she would have turned thirty-seven.
Fletcher was married to Marcia Melissa Fisher 21 Feb, 1854. She was the daughter of Truman B. Fisher (11 Aug 1815, Essex, NY - 15 Nov 1860 Portage, WI) and Jane Allen (28 Jul 1812 - 20 Oct 1865, WI) Marcia's parents were married 8 Jan 1833. Information provided by Candayce Detloff
