The Frank and Elizabeth BEYERL Farm
In 1929 Frank BEYERL married for a third time,
taking as his wife Elizabeth GRIEGER (nee KLAWINSKI) of Athens, Marathon
County, WI. Elizabeth brought 3 sons, Frank and Tony ZETTLER and Gilbert
GRIEGER to the marriage, along with 2 daughters, Genevieve and Angeline
GRIEGER; while Frank had several children himself. Soon after the marriage,
Frank completed building a new, 2 story house on this property, and the
family moved into it (he had been living in the SE corner of adjacent
Section 10.) In 1930, son Francis (Fuzzy) was born. After Frank died in
1958, Fuzzy, along with Elizabeth, continued to live on the farm. Local
reports claim Fuzzy built the new, lower roof inside the existing structure.
An unfortunate accident in 1988 claimed the life of Fuzzy - he died in the
silo when thawed silage buried him. An interesting connection - Genevieve
GRIEGER, who as a teenager came to live with her mother and Frank
