He was a lumberman and owned a large number of acres throughout Clark County,
Wisconsin. They resided near Black River Station and had a son, Frank
and a
daughter, Bessie, who was named for her maternal grandmother. Cynthia was born November 11, 1831 and died May 8, 1875.
Both she and George are buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery, Pine Valley, Clark
