The information regarding the subject individual being in the Civil War is incorrect.

The data included in your website indicates Adelbert Sprague was 12 years old in the 1860 Federal census for West Bend, Washington County, Wisconsin.  While there were a very few drummer boys that were

accepted at the age of 13, who lied about their age, I hardly think he would have been a 1st Sgt.

The official Illinois records indicate that A. A. Sprague (the name he used when he signed up, was 21 years old on December 10, 1861 and that he joined in Hudson. MI, which was where he lived at the time.

I am trying to find the date of death and place of burial for the individual that did serve in the Civil War.  I'll be glad to forward further information if desired to prove your information is incorrect. Helen Barber.
