Albert Dunn (son of James Albert Dunn and Nancy Jane McKenzie)3 was born March 02, 1880 in Spokeville, York, Clark, Wis., and died June 16, 19523. He married Annaretta Viola Slover on January 29, 1913 in Tioga, WI3, daughter of William Francis Slover and Annaretta Eunice Loy.

Source Data: From the records of Merrill Dunn. Albert attended the Palmer School, 7 miles south of Loyal, Clark Co, WI in 1887. Obituary: Albert Dunn was born of Nancy and James A. Dunn March 2, 1880 at Spokeville, Clark Co. Wisconsin. He attended school in the Town of York at the Palmer or the Lincoln School, La Tart in the Town of Beaver and Eaton Center in the Town of Eaton, all of Clark County, WI. Albert was listed as one of the surviving children of James Albert Dunn in his obituary dated July 30, 1912 published in the Greenwood Gleaner of Clark Co, Wisconsin. He was married to Retta Viola Slover January 29, 1913. They moved to Vida, Montana where he had homesteaded in 1911. They returned to Greenwood, Wisconsin in the spring of 1921 to a farm he had been renting where they farmed for twenty years. During this time he equipped a blacksmith shop and did repair work for neighbors and friends. On retiring from the farm he went to the Swan Island Shipyard, Portland, Oregon and participated in the War Effort as a ship fitter for two and a third years until the war came to an end. After the close of the war he returned to Greenwood, Wisconsin to visit his sons and then to Chicago, Illinois on August 8, 1945 to visit his daughter, Mrs. Velton Styles. Most of his active life was spent in farming in Montana and Wisconsin. For the past few years he had been afflicted with palsy and spent his last days at a rest home at Oak Forest, Ill, and finally passed away at Elgin, Ill. on June 16, 1952 from a heart attack, reaching the age of 72 years. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Julius Ware, Wolf Point, Montana and Mrs. Thomas (Sadie) Krcma, Portland, Oregon; one daughter, Mrs. Velton (Ruth) Styles, Chicago; fours sons, Merrill of Greenwood; Russell of Curtis; Howard in the Army Air Force in England; Kenneth in the Army Air Force in Alaska; and sixteen grandchildren. His wife Viola, his parents, four sisters, Mrs. Chris (Stacia) Nelson, eastern Montana; Mrs Samuel (Florence) Howden, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. George (Margaret) Meeks, Wibaux, Montana, and Mrs. Perry (Rose Anne) Palmer; one brother James Dunn of Galena, Kansas; and one granddaughter preceded him in death. Funeral services were held and he was laid to rest at Elgin, Ill on June 20, 1952. Note: Two obituaries were located and facts combined.
