BELLE HOLMES/LEONARD HOWARD MARRIAGE
A quiet wedding occurred Wednesday, March 28, 1900 at the home of A. C. Holmes and wife, on the Huntzicker farm, when their daughter, Belle Holmes, was united in marriage to Leonard Howard of Neillsville, Rev. W. T. Hendren officiating. The bride is a popular young lady, well known her, in Loyal and Neillsville. The fortunate groom is a successful business man in the machinery business in the latter city. The couple goes to housekeeping at once in Neillsville. A rather unusual incident is connected with this event in that Elder Hendren married the father and mother of the bride many years ago. He says this is the first case of the kind he has ever had.
