John Elmer & Harriett Alfreda (Edwards) Noyes
Greenwood, Clark County, Wisconsin
John Elmer Noyes was the son of Joseph Ellis & Alzina "Lucy" (Braman) Hartson. He was born the first day of April, 1872 in Neillsvillle, Clark County, Wisconsin. His father, Joseph, was a veteran of the Great Civil War. After his father's death in 1875, his mother remarried and he became the stepson of Albert Hartson.
May 19, 1896, John married Harriett Alfreda Edwards in LaCrosse, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin. She was born July 22, 1874. She was the daughter of Austin J. and Mari H. Edwards.
Just before the turn of the twentieth century, John was editor of the Greenwood Gleaner, Greenwood, Clark County, Wisconsin. John died May 9, 1948.
